Of Corsets For A Good Cause was hosted by Frederick’s of Hollywood. The event began as an online auction a few days earlier of custom designed corsets created by a number of celebrities. Proceeds from the auction benefited RAINN – Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.
Susan Sarandon served as the host of the event.
Along with her “Thelma & Louise” co-star Geena Davis, the ladies designed a special leather corset in tribute to their iconic sidekick movie with their images airbrushed on it and completed with miniature Wild Turkey bottles as fringe. Unfortunately for us photographers, that particular corset had already been sold to the highest bidder, along with 5 others from Barbra Streisand, Halle Berry, Scarlettt Johansson, Julianne Moore, Diana Ross and Tracee Ellis Ross netting a total of $20,000 for RAINN.
Twelve more corsets were to be auctioned off live at the event and online over the next few days, including this one by Jessica Biel.
Taryn Manning brought her colorful contribution of Love to the auction as well.
Also in attendance were; Agelica Bridges, Amelia Cooke, Ashley Jones, Charity Shea, Eva Longoria, Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s, Lake Bell, Marisa Coughlan, Maggie Grace, Marsha Thomason, Shakara Ledard, and Tori Spelling.
