While personally, I can’t say I’m a big fan of grindhouse films, there is something about Quentin Tarantino movies that draws me in every time!

Having photographed Angelina Jolie for many years, it strikes me, in retrospect, how happy she looks at this premiere. Earlier in her career, when making appearances, there are many events I photographed her where she never once smiled. She was always presenting something of an aloof persona it seemed to me. After settling in with Brad Pitt, all that seemed to change and she softened her demeanor quite a bit.

Personally, I like the newer Angie!

Diane Kruger chose a playful, sparkly, pretty thing from Atelier Versace for the premiere!

Mélanie Laurent looked Hollywood glam in this lacy confection of a strapless black dress.

Although not appearing in this film, Samuel L. Jackson is a regular in Quentin Tarantino fare.

Sometimes, someone will show up on a red carpet just screaming, “I want to be in next week’s magazines!” Mallika Sherawat did so at this premiere. Wearing something … unique … is one way to assure it will happen!

People often ask me who stands out in my career on the red carpet. Honestly, that list is long. But who actually made me take a pause and appreciate their depth of career and talent as they stopped and smiled for my lens? That list is very short. The few times I’ve been honored to photograph Sidney Poitier are among those moments.

Also in attendance were; Billy Burke, Bridget Fonda, B.J. Novak, Brett Ratner, Camryn Manheim, Carla Gugino, Cloris Leachman, Christina Ricci, Danny Elfman, Eli Roth, Gideon Burkhard, Jessica Lowndes, Kevin Pollak, Lalo Schifrin, Maria Menounos, Michael Nouri, Mindy Kaling, Omar Doom, Portia Doubleday, Richard Sammel, Samantha Shelton, Sarah Silverman, Tia Carrere, Tony Hawk, and Tracie Thoms.

RED CARPET PHOTO ARCHIVES: Not working the awards shows this year. Decided it’s time to actually watch and participate as a spectator for a change! So might as well publish a blog while awaiting tonight’s party! 😉 #MoviePremieres #AngelinaJolie #BradPitt #QuentinTarantino #SamuelLJackson #DianeKruger #PressNotPaparazzi #RothStock #EventPhotography
